Go to your local opticians and get an eye test. Your Optician must (by law) give you a copy of your prescription. We recommend that you also ask your Optician for your PD (pupillary distance) at this time. If you have had your eyes tested within the last year or two years (whichever is relevant to you) then simply ask your Optician for a written copy.
If you are having any problems getting this information we will try and assist you by contacting them on your behalf.
PD is the distance between your pupils in mm. This measurement is necessary to determine where the optical centre on the lens should be fitted.
Generally your optician should tell you what your PD is, if they are not forthcoming we can make your glasses using an average PD measurement. However, this is dependent on your prescription – we will advise you further when you make your order.
Yes we do, you would have to visit us in person, this is due to the measurements being very specific to each wearer and is something we would have do in person. The alternative is to buy the ‘frame only’.
